The following steps outline the key aspects of getting a building project up and running. This can differ depending on the type of project but generally the process fits into the below five steps.
Step 1 – Planning Session
The first step to planning your new build is to have an initial discussion with us about your requirements. We will plan a time to meet with you and talk over ideas, budgets, timeframes, the building process etc. This will help to insure that all of your expectations are realistic and achievable.
Step 2 – Concept Drawings
After considering all of your needs from the planning session we will assist you in obtaining a set of concept drawings to give you a first look what your finished project will look like. These plans are used for financial discussions with your bank, perceived valuations, initial rough build costings (based on square meter rates) and checking that you are happy with the overall design.
Step 3 – Working Drawings and Specifications
Your chosen architect produces a set of working drawings, which show you exactly how your finished project will look. These plans are used for obtaining consents from the council, pricing the project, minimising, isolating or eliminating any problems before they happen and financial Lending. Once you’ve approved the working drawings, and worked out your specifications they are submitted to the council for building consent, and it’s on to the next step.
Step 4 – The Budget & Contract
Once we have the working drawings for your house, we can provide you with a fully itemised working price for your project. Once the price is calculated and the terms are agreed, we sign the contract and move to the Construction start date.
Step 4 – The Build
StrongBuild Solutions will work closely with you and the Council on each construction milestone: Services, foundations, framing, roof & windows, lining, electrical, plumbing, painting & landscaping. We will diligently monitor the timeline and budget to ensure that the project is running smoothly.
Step 5 – Post Build
After completion of your project, we will help you compile the documentation for you to submit your code of compliance application.
